The Process
How It Works
A novated lease is a way to pay for your car and its running costs using your pre-tax income, which in the eyes of the ATO reduces your total salary and therefore the amount of tax you pay. It sounds simple, but it’s a total game-changer. Here's how it works in three simple steps.
You + Your Vehicle
Found the car you want? Perfect. Now, instead of you paying for your car outright, you enter into a lease agreement for the car for a fixed period between 1 - 5 years.
You + Your Employer
An agreement is set up between you, your employer and us. Then, your deductions for the lease (including running costs too, if that's what you want) are made by your employer from your pre-tax income. And that reduces the income tax you pay each pay cycle. Plus, your deduction amount is fixed, so you know what you’re paying for your car each month.
You + Leaselab
With a direct line of communication through a dedicated relationship manager, we'll help you navigate any challenges right the way through your lease. Whether it's today or five years from now, we promise you’ll always have the same level of help and service all the way through to the end of your lease.

Is the Carnival a good option for families with multiple kids?
Absolutely. With up to eight seats, clever storage, and smooth performance, it’s built for big families who don’t want a bulky SUV. A novated lease helps keep those school-run costs under control while you enjoy the extra space.
What about safety?
The Carnival comes loaded with safety tech — lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise, and more. It’s one of the safest large people movers around, which is peace of mind for any parent behind the wheel.
Can I add options like roof racks or tow packages?
Definitely. Accessories like roof racks or tow bars can be included in your novated lease. You’ll need to make sure it’s included before the commencement of your Carnival novated lease before driving it away. It’s all about tailoring your dream car to fit your family’s lifestyle.
How does the Carnival compare to SUVs like the Palisade?
SUVs like the Hyundai Palisade might look tough, but the Carnival plays the smarter game. Four cameras, handy sensors and sliding doors make parking and getting in and out a breeze. It’s roomier inside, slightly cheaper to lease and packed with family-friendly features, proving that a people mover can actually make life easier.
How do the weekly novated lease repayments compare between the Kia Carnival and Volkswagen ID Buzz?
The Carnival is slightly cheaper on a weekly lease, though the ID Buzz brings electric efficiency and modern tech into the mix. If upfront cost is a priority, Carnival wins; if you want electric driving and lower overall running costs, the ID Buzz is worth considering.
The Kia Carnival starts from $236 per week on a novated lease, making it a strong value option for families needing space and comfort. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz starts from $248 per week, offering a modern electric alternative with a slightly higher weekly cost.
Which is better for carrying cargo or passengers: Mercedes eVito or Kia Carnival?
The Carnival is more family-friendly, while the eVito suits businesses needing electric vans for goods or larger groups.
The Kia Carnival offers 7–8 seats with flexible, family-focused cargo space, making it ideal for commuting and family trips. It features sliding doors for easy access. The Mercedes eVito also comes with sliding doors and seats 6–8 depending on the configuration, but its cargo space is larger and more commercial-oriented, making it better suited for cargo-heavy work and business use.
